Casa de Pineda

Just North of Barcelona there's a wonderful town called Pineda. It's a beach town; alive and brimming with tourists during the hot months but beautiful year round. I have family in Spain now and part of it lives here! This amazing strip of a house was so different from anything I had seen or lived in before. It was another project that I began thinking about very soon after I started learning to work with voxels.

The house itself came together at a slow and steady pace thanks to photos I shot myself but also Google Earth! The Neighbors however went through many iterations before I was happy with them. There were black and white buildings surrounding it, more expressionist "suggestions" of other dwellings. In the end (deadline was a birthday!) I completely started over and once again referred to Google Earth and got some good, rough shapes in place.
